Halloween. It’s a time of year when people indulge the scariest things they can think of. During spooky season, you can really let your imagination run wild with all sorts of tricks. Scaring your friends and family with gory costumes, grotesque makeup, and elaborate decorations is all part of the fun. We never dream that the grisly things in the most morbid corners of our minds, that are straight out of a horror movie, could ever make their way into reality. But for the Erbert family, Halloween would prove to be a tragic realization of everything entirely beyond their worst nightmare.
