NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA | I researched and wrote this episode, which took place in a community where most people felt free to go about their daily lives. Going to work, school, and spending time with family in the comfort of our homes – hopefully in communities where neighbors look out for each other, and they feel safe with the people around them. We know it’s impossible to truly understand the intentions of everyone we encounter throughout the day, and even what’s going on behind someone’s eyes. But sometimes, you never know who’s watching. And this is what the DeVore family was about to discover in a way that even they could never have imagined.
