SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES | I researched and wrote this episode, which begins in late 2020, when Melissa Caddick disappeared from the exclusive suburb of Dover Heights. The highly successful financial advisor had left the luxury home she shared with her second husband and teenage son for an early morning run. But Melissa never made it back home. As the hours and days passed with no sign of her, concerns for her welfare grew.
Then a gruesome discovery on the far south coast of NSW only intensified the mystery. The facts surrounding the case have left many people wondering what happened to Melissa. It emerged that she had allegedly duped many investors and stolen their money.
